Our mission is to improve global health outcomes by advancing neurosurgical practice worldwide.
We will conduct international, multicenter studies to answer clinically relevant research questions in neurosurgery. The global collaborative model will enable us to (1) compare outcomes across countries, (2) investigate determinants of surgical outcome, (3) assess areas of variability in neurosurgical practice, and (4) highlight neurosurgical needs in developed vs developing countries.
What is new?
1- Global Scope; studies are conducted in multiple countries; any neurosurgery center/hospital around the world can take part as long as they adhere to the protocol and all study data is made available to the collaborative.
2- Clinically relevant research questions that translate to better patient outcomes
3- Collaborative authorship model
1- Several international peer-reviewed journal articles, including
2- Formation of an international network of neurosurgeons and associated trainees to further facilitate future research efforts.
