The Journal of Global Neurosurgery was started in 2021 by Dr. Kee Park, Dr. Ignatius Esene, and Dr. Andres Rubiano. The JGNS is supported by the PGSSC at Harvard Medical School, MA.

The journal aims to strengthen the neurosurgical research capacity in low- and middle-income countries.

Currently, I’m the Managing Editor of the JGNS.

Starting from August 2019, I’m an active Academic Editor in PLOS one. I have taken no less than 60 editorial decisions. My role includes a preliminary evaluation of the submitted manuscripts, identifying and inviting experts to the peer-review process, and taking informed editorial decisions whether to accept the work for publication or not.
